Research on Alexithymia of Cancer Patients and Evidence-Based Psychological Nursing (EBPN)
Abstract
Objective: This study is aim to investigate the alexithymia of the cancer patients. Objects: There are 98 cases of hospitalized cancer patients and 105 non-cancer patients were selected. Methods: First, by utilizing randomized control study, 98 cases of hospitalized cancer patients and 105 non-cancer patients met the inclusion criteria were selected. Questionnaires were used to collect varied information, including Toronto Alexithymia Disorder Scale (TAS-20), and general information questionnaire. Then, the Alexithymia patients (TAS score >60, n=48) were randomly divided into two groups. The study group was used EBPN, and the control group was used the general psychological care, and then the results were compared. Conclusion: The results showed that there were significant differences between cancer and non-cancer group in the alexithymia scores; and there was significant correlation between alexithymia in DIF, DDF and TAS; meanwhile, the effects of treatment of EBPN methods for cancer patients with alexithymia was significantly better than the treatment of routine psychological nursing.
