Patent Information Analysis for the Production Techniques of Tea Polyphenols

Abstract


In this paper, 158 patents were analyzed on tea polyphenols production technology in China. The results indicated that the amount of patents on tea polyphenol production technology was gradually increased from 1993 to 2014, in which, most of the patents were applied from manufacturer companies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Fujian province. The technical life span analysis revealed that the tea polyphenol production patents mainly focused on the production methods, production equipment and its applications (such as medicine and food etc.).
