Abstract

In the early days of regime establishment, the political struggles of the Communist Party of China were fierce, and the introduction of economic development also had its political purpose. Therefore, under the "Strategy of Progress and Surpass" advocated by Mao Zedong, the "Great Leap Forward" not only failed but also caused more damage to the originally sluggish economy due to the influences of political factors. Worse still, it also produced considerable negative effects on the subsequent economic development, politics and society.
