The new engineering construction involves a wide-ranged, and significantly influential system,with a demonstration and leading role in the reform and development of higher engineering education.Looking back on history, the national northwest Associated University and the National Northwest Engineering College have played a foundational role in the history of Higher Engineering Education in china. This paper gives some concrete suggestions on the new engineering construction of universities in Western China, including clear school running idea, establishing modern university system and setting up the new Engineering Education Alliance of Northwest associated university".
