Analysis on the Transmutation of Concept of Public Sphere

Abstract

"Public sphere" is a hot concept in the research field of communication. Dozens of studies have been published in recent decades since Habermas put forward the "public sphere" in 1962. The different interpretations of the concept of public sphere in different historical periods by important scholars are mainly investigated in this paper.
