Evaluation of the Efficiency of S & T Industrial Sector Based on DEA—Taking the Industrial Sector of Shanghai as an Example

Abstract


Industrial enterprises embody the growth pattern and characteristics of China's entire economy and its innovative capabilities should be greatly enhanced. From an efficiency perspective, it seeks to minimize input and maximize output. Taking Shanghai industrial enterprises as the example, this paper analyzes the efficiency of 24 industrial sectors of science and technology by using DEA method. According to the results of DEA evaluation, most of the industrial sectors in Shanghai are less efficient and there are large gaps among industries, the results means the intensity of investment in science and technology and the structure needs to be improved.
