Hidden Veins: The Formation of the Neo-Confucian Philosophical Poetry in the Ming Dynasty
Abstract
From the dissertation, the writer wants to convey such a message: utmost importance should be attached to The Interpretation of the Ancient Poetry of Baishazi. By reading the text and analyzing the social conditions of Ming Dynasty, some driving factors may be summarized as follows. Firstly, it is a product of their official and teaching career which reflects the institutional background and ideological origin of the Neo-confucian philosophical Poetry. In addition, the content of his poetry is based on the daily life under the attitude of Neo-confucian Philosophy. Through writing the book, Zhan Ruoshui explained his teacher's poetic creation to highlighting the wisdom of his teaching. Above all, Wang Yangming's succession to the Neo-confucian Philosophical Poetry and the "backwash" of revival thought of the "QIZI schools" constituted the two kinds of boost to the Neo-confucian Philosophical Poetry and widened its influence of history.
