The advantage of this scoring method is to make the way that the university enroll new students more flexible, this method can not only select the students who do well in all courses, but also can find out the genius with special talent although their performance are terrible in some courses. It can also improve the enrollment rate of the rural candidates, and reduce the psychological pressure of candidates in the exam.
