A Review of the History of College English Teaching in China (1949–1966)

Abstract

Since the founding of People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, the teaching of College English has gone through the mileage of more than 60 years. Reviewing the course of College English teaching, we found that the development and change of College English teaching and society is closely related to the changes of social development. It can be regarded as the era of "teenage table".
