Abstract
As an important place for teaching and educating people, the university campus has a positive impact on the work and study life of teachers and students. With the development of the times and the adjustment of functions, the landscape space of some campuses needs to be optimized according to the needs of campus users to improve the vitality. This paper took the long-established South China University of Technology as an example, and through the Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) methods, conducted the satisfaction evaluation questionnaire survey on the campus at the West-Banshan Park. The object of questionnaire survey included the daily users of the site, such as the teachers, the students as well as their family members in this campus. The results of the survey were analyzed by Excel and Origin software, and it was found that users were less satisfied with the site. The results show there are some problems in this site, such as: 1) the cultural atmosphere in campus landscape is weak; 2) the space design is not reasonable; 3) landscape facilities are old and lacking. According to users' habits and rules, the paper puts forward the optimization d strategies from three aspects, including to strengthen campus landscape humanities, to richen landscape elements and to optimize landscape facilities. This paper is expected to provide the evidence and reference for the evaluation and optimization of campus landscape space.
