Research on Utilization of FDI and Upgrading of Industrial Structure in Inner Mongolia

Abstract

With the improvement of economic development and investment environment in Inner Mongolia, the quality and level of FDI have been improved. However, the utilization of FDI in Inner Mongolia is mainly concentrated in the secondary industry, in low value-added and low processing industries, which aggravates the imbalance of industrial structure. Rational use of FDI can promote the upgrading of industrial structure in Inner Mongolia through direct and indirect effects. By guiding the distribution of FDI in different industries and professions in Inner Mongolia, improving the environment for attracting FDI, rationally utilizing the technology spillover effect and cultivating the ability of independent technological innovation, the industrial structure of Inner Mongolia can be optimized and upgraded.
