Abstract

This manuscript investigats the test score of elementary microeconomics in Northeast Normal Univeristy based on classical test theory. Generally speaking, the test is not hard and the discrimination capacity is acceptable. However, the internal reliability is not very good and thus is worth of improving. It is found that the correlation between calculations and total score is not high, which means the performance of respondents is not stable. As far as the education of economics in China, two folds of works should be sustainably carried forward: on one hand, more attention should be paid to test design so that the internal reliability of this evaluation mechanism could be steady enhanced; on the other hand, class teaching should further emphasize the training about mathematical thinking and methodology so as to be in line with the international mainstream research paradigm.
