Abstract

Based on the research results of predecessors, this thesis compares the working principles, applicable conditions and application processes of the induced polarization method, the transient electromagnetic method, and the EH4 electromagnetic imaging system of geophysical exploration methods. In addition, it also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of those methods as well as the existing problems. Furthermore, it analyzes the theories of the application of geophysical prospecting parameters (apparent resistivity) deduce aquifer hydrogeological parameters, technical methods and its research progress of application. The research shows that we should attach importance to using comprehensive geophysical methods to detect the aquifer structure. In addition, we should combine the geophysical data with drilling lithology and the pumping test of hydrogeological parameters, and use the geophysical prospecting to replace the partial exploration drilling. Meanwhile, we should consider the influence of various factors, such as lithology, degree of mineralization and so on, and combine all these with the research region’s geologic structure and hydrogeological background, so as to study the dependency of apparent resistivity and hydrogeological parameter, interpret the nature and feature of the aquifer.
