Similar Trends? Compulsory Education Reforms in Japan and China

Abstract


Compulsory education welfare is an important part of social welfare. China and Japan are respectively the largest developing country and the developed country in Asia. Its economic and social development all cannot do without the support of personnel. The most basic compulsory education in order to cultivate talents has obtained achievements and great development in the two countries. One has the largest population of compulsory education, the other has the most mature which is highly acclaimed. In the new century, how to face the challenges and difficulties? What characteristics of their compulsory education reform are? Pattern of the compulsory education welfare providing are similar? Those are discussed in this paper.
