Abstract

Based on the 780,000 words interlanguage corpus of written materials by CFL learners of Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, Qi Chunhong (2016) looked for the general law of DCs(Directional Complements) by CFL learners of the three countries at first; then compared it with the existing research conclusion on acquisition rules by non-native speakers of other countries; thirdly, concluded the DCs acquisition in general; finally, put forward the corresponding teaching strategies according to the general characteristics. This paper tests the validity of the above teaching strategies through the tasked-based teaching experiments on teaching “V+xiaqu/xialai(extending meaning)â€, “V+qilai/chulai (extending meaning)â€. The Paired-Samples T Test of the pretest and post-test scores shows that the teaching effects are significant; some other suggestions are given based on the teaching experiments.
