Research on the Survival Situation of Physical Education Teachers in the Countryside of China
Abstract
China is a big agricultural country. To establish a physical education teaching staff with a good professional quality and high comprehensive level has very far-reaching significance and influence on the implementation and development of physical education in rural schools. This paper, using such research methods as literature, field survey, interviewing and so on researched the existing situation of PE teachers in the rural of China. The results find out that rural PE teachers lack; Physical education teachers’ age becomes younger; Degree reaches the regulation of the relevant departments in general; Titles are generally low; Workload is heavy and the wages are low; Economic pressure presents different status; working conditions are poor. Rural physical education teachers' professional identity is poor; Amateur leisure entertainment is less and single; Professional status is not paid attention to; Professional planning state is uneven; The overall happiness level is not high and so on. And puts forward some counter strategies for the present living conditions of rural sports teachers.
