The Relationship between Professional Commitment and Teachers’ Professional Maturity in Normal College Students
Abstract
The present study reported on a study conducted with 300 students of normal college students. The college students' maturity scale and teachers' professional commitment scale were administered. Results showed as following: (1) Affective commitment, normative commitment, ideal commitment and overall commitment are all positively correlated with attitude maturity, capability maturity and overall maturity each other on each dimension. (2) Overall professional commitment, normative commitment, continuance commitment and ideal commitment remain statistically significant predictors of teachers' professional maturity.
