On Intercultural Communication (IC) Teaching Model in College English under the Background of “the Belt and Road†(B&R)—Taking the Course Intercultural Communication as an Example
Abstract
Under the background of B&R, it is increasingly important and urgent to improve college students’ intercultural communication competence (ICC). By taking the course Intercultural Communication as an example, and employing Byram’s intercultural factors [1], the IC teaching model is proposed in this paper with an effort to cultivate students’ ICC awareness, including the teaching principles, objectives, contents, methods and assessment.
