The SWOT Analysis of the Contracting of Chinese Enterprises for the Construction of Projects at the GCC

Abstract

By using SWOT method, it is found that Chinese enterprises have the advantages of human resources, rich project experience, strong strength of some enterprises, and a good domestic industrial base in carrying out project contracting business at the GCC; disadvantages include the lack of high-quality management personnel, Most companies have poor financing capabilities, lack of experience in local operations, and poor awareness of risks. Opportunities mainly include the strengthening of bilateral economic and trade relations and the economic integration of the GCC region; the challenges are mainly the appreciation of the renminbi, rising domestic and foreign prices, rising wages, and intense competition. Companies should combine SWOT analysis results and consider their own circumstances to adopt different strategies.
