Death·Return·Rebirth: On the Theme Development of Taiwan Aboriginal Poetry
Abstract
The reconstruction of ethnic culture on the cultural dilemma has been the focus of Taiwan aboriginal writing. Discussing the theme development of Taiwan aboriginal poetry—death, return and rebirth, this article seeks to analyze how this development coincides with the journey of aboriginal poets’ lives. It is argued that, based on the true understanding of traditional cultures, the re-composition of poetry creates for the aboriginal culture the space and chance of rebirth and development.
